Alvaro Morata has insisted that Chelsea FC are confident that they will be able to beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley next month.

Both Chelsea FC and Manchester United have suffered somewhat disappointing campaigns in the Premier League, with neither side able to challenge Manchester City’s dominance at the top of the table.

Manchester United are on course to finish as runners-up to Manchester City in the Premier League table this season in what would be their strongest finish since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.

Chelsea FC, meanwhile, have struggled to maintain their high standards from last season and are currently on course to miss out on a top four finish in the Premier League.

The FA Cup represents both club’s last remaining hope of winning a trophy this season – and Morata seems confident that the Blues have what it takes to claim the victory over Jose Mourinho’s men next month.

Speaking to Chelsea FC’s website, Morata said: “It’s an important trophy and it will be my first at the club if we win it, which would be very special.

“I want to win as much as I can. We have the opportunity to win the FA Cup and we will fight together to get the trophy.

“In England the FA Cup is very important, it won’t be easy because Manchester United are a top side, but for sure it will be a great occasion for football and a good show.”

Chelsea FC are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table as they look to try and catch Tottenham before the season is out.

The Blues are two points behind Spurs, but Mauricio Pochettino’s men have a game in hand on their London rivals.
