The Evening Standard is reporting that Borussia Dortmund are keen to try and make the striker’s loan move to the German club permanent this summer.
Batshuayi signed for Dortmund on a six-month loan deal back in January and has been in fine form for the German side, scoring seven goals and making one assist in 10 Bundesliga games.
According to the same report, Dortmund will now push ahead with plans to sign the 24-year-old forward this summer, but Chelsea FC will not entertain offers of anything less than £50m.
The Belgian forward had struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Stamford Bridge in the first half of the season and he has been earning plenty of praise for his strong performances for Dortmund since his move to Germany.
The same story says that Dortmund do have some significant funds at their disposal this summer after they sold Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal in a big-money deal in January.
However, it remains to be seen whether they will be willing to shell out the apparent asking price of £50m for Batshuayi.
