Giroud scored the Blues’ opening goal as they claimed a 2-0 victory over Southampton in the semi-final clash at Wembley on Sunday to secure their spot in next month’s showpiece against the Red Devils.
The west London side will now take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley next month as they look to finish what has been a disappointing season on a high by winning a trophy.
Giroud has already tasted FA Cup glory three times with Arsenal and he will be hoping to help the Blues beat the Red Devils in next month’s final.
And the French forward has talked up the importance of the Blues claiming the victory against Jose Mourinho’s men at Wembley.
Speaking to BT Sport after Sunday’s game, Giroud said: “I said to the boys I really want to win another one with Chelsea, that’s the target for the end of the season.
“We really want to win this trophy. It’s a special competition for me. We are going to give our best in the championship and then prepare for an amazing final.”
Chelsea FC are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table and five points behind Tottenham as they bid to try and break back into the top four before the season is out.
The Blues will return to Premier League action next weekend when they travel to Swansea City in the top flight on Saturday.
