Chelsea FC are consdering whether to sell Alvaro Morata back to Real Madrid in a cut-price deal at the end of the season, according to a report in Spain.

Spanish media outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Spanish giants are thinking about signing Morata for a third time in his fledgling career so far.

Chelsea FC signed Morata in a £58m deal from Champions League holders Real Madrid in a club record deal in the 2017 summer transfer window.

The Spain international scored 11 times and made five assists in 25 appearances in the Premier League in his debut season in England.

The same article states that Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to accept a £10.5m loss on Morata after his struggles in the second half of the campaign.

According to the same story, Real Madrid are planning an overhaul of their squad at the end of the season following a disappointing domestic campaign.

France striker Karim Benzema and Wales international Gareth Bale could both leave as part of Real Madrid’s facelift.

Morata returned to Real Madrid from Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window after an impressive two-season spell in Italy.
