Chelsea FC won’t sell Eden Hazard with the possibility of a new manager being appointed this summer, Steve Nicol has claimed.

The Blues forward has been one of the west London side’s best players in the current campaign despite their inconsistent form.

Hazard has scored a respectable 11 goals and has also made three assists in 24 appearances in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old was left disappointed in the Champions League after the Blues lost 4-1 to FC Barcelona in the round of 16.

The Belgian forward has been regularly linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid over the past few seasons.

Hazard has remained committed to the west London club but is thought to be in negotiations with Chelsea FC over a new deal.

Former Liverpool FC defender Nicol believes Hazard won’t leave Chelsea FC this summer despite the Blues’ disappointing season.

“He won’t leave,” Nicol told ESPN FC. “Chelsea won’t let anybody go until they get a new head coach.

“Why would they get rid of their best player? I don’t see it happening.”

Hazard has won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons under Jose Mourinho and then Antonio Conte.

Chelsea FC lost 2-1 to Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley last term but could win the competition this season.
