Dennis Wise has urged Chelsea FC to sign Jack Wilshere from Arsenal at the end of the season.

The Gunners star is facing an uncertain future at the north London outfit as Wilshere’s contract continues to run down at The Emirates.

Wilshere is set to become a free agent in the 2018 summer transfer window unless the two parties can agree to a new deal in the coming months.

The England international started the 2017-18 season out of favour under Arsene Wenger after he returned from a season-long loan at Bournemouth last term.

Wilshere has managed to battle his way into the Arsenal team to breathe life into his previously stalling Premier League career.

Liverpool FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a potential swoop to sign Wilshere to bolster their respective midfield options.

Chelsea FC have struggled in the middle of the park this term following Nemanja Matic’s surprise £40m move to Manchester United from the Blues last summer.

His replacement Tiemoue Bakayoko has struggled to adjust to Premier League football since his switch from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco last summer.

Former Chelsea FC midfielder Wise would love to see the Blues complete a sensational swoop for Wilshere in the summer.

“If Chelsea need a midfield player, I’d definitely take Wilshere,” Wise told Sky Sports. “He is free. He is 25 years old.

“He has proven he has come back to fitness. He is better than Bakayoko and Drinkwater. I would take him.”

Chelsea FC will take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley next month.
