The Citizens are still reeling from their 5-1 loss to Premier League rivals Liverpool FC in the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday night.
Spanish media outlet Sport, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Manchester City are set to bounce back from their European disappointment with a sensational move to sign Hazard from defending champions Chelsea FC at the end of the season.
The same article states that Pep Guardiola has put Hazard at the top of his wishlist, although Chelsea FC are understandably reluctant to sell their number 10 following a disappointing defence of their top-flight crown.
Unless Manchester City can convince Chelsea FC to part with their star player, Sport goes on to suggest that AS Monaco forward Thomas Lemar could be a second-choice target for the Citizens.
Hazard has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League and the League Cup since his big-money move to Chelsea FC from Lille in 2012.
The Belgium international has been regularly linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid in recent season, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
