Jermaine Jenas lavished praise on Sadio Mane and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after they helped to inspire Liverpool FC to a 3-0 win over Bournemouth at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Reds headed into the game on the back of the euphoria of their 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League last week as they booked their place in the semi-finals.

Mane gave Liverpool FC the lead in the seventh minute when he converted from close range after Asmir Begovic had saved his initial effort.

Mohamed Salah made it 2-0 in the 69th minute with a brilliant header from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross with his 40th goal of the season.

And Roberto Firmino wrapped up a 3-0 win when the Brazilian fired home a low shot in the 90th minute.

Liverpool FC have been earning plenty of praise for their displays in recent weeks and midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain has been in top form for the Reds of late.

And former Tottenham star Jenas believes that Mane and Oxlade-Chamberlain were the standout players for the Reds on Saturday evening at Anfield.

Speaking during BT Sport‘s coverage of the game, Jenas said: “There were a couple of players who played out of their skins.

“Mane made some good runs and Oxlade-Chamberlain looked really sharp in there. But there were a lot of players who were coasting as well.”

Liverpool FC will take on AS Roma in the Champions League semi-finals later this month.

The Reds will host the Italian side in the first leg on Tuesday 24 April before the return leg in Rome on Wednesday 2 May.
