Luis Garcia is backing Liverpool FC to secure a 2-0 win against AS Roma in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at Anfield on Tuesday night.

The Reds will welcome the Italian giants to Merseyside following their resounding 5-1 win against Premier League leaders Manchester City in the last eight.

Liverpool FC were 3-0 winners against Pep Guardiola’s side men at Anfield thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Roberto Firmino.

The Reds eased to a 2-1 win in the return fixture at The Etihad after Salah and Firmino cancelled out Gabriel Jesus’ opener.

AS Roma lost 4-1 to FC Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at Camp Nou before a 3-0 recovery at the Stadio Olimpico earlier this month.

Liverpool FC have won six of their seven Uefa fixtures at Anfield in the Champions League this season, with only Sevilla denying the Reds a win after a 2-2 stalemate.

Former Reds star Garcia, who was part of the last Liverpool FC team to win the Champions League in 2005, believes the Reds will ease to a 2-0 victory over AS Roma.

“I think it will be a 2-0 win for Liverpool,” Garcia told BetStars.

“Earlier in the season, the team struggled defensively but against Man City they managed to keep a clean sheet in the first leg which has given them confidence and we know Liverpool are going to score goals with Mo Salah, Firmino and Sadio Mane being the main men for the team.

“I think Virgil van Dijk could also have the chance to score.”

Liverpool FC haven’t reached the Champions League final since 2007 when the Reds lost 2-1 to AC Milan in Athens.
