Michael Owen is confident Liverpool FC will ease to a comfortable win against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Reds booked their place in the Champions League semi-final draw on Friday following a brilliant 5-1 aggregate win against Manchester City in the last eight.

Liverpool FC were 3-0 winners against the Citizens in the first leg at Anfield before Jurgen Klopp’s side came from behind to secure a 2-1 win against Manchester City on Tuesday night.

The Merseyside outfit are in third place in the Premier League table and the Reds are on course to finish in the top four in successive seasons.

Liverpool FC are unbeaten since a 2-1 loss to Manchester United in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday 10 March.

Former Liverpool FC striker Owen believes the Reds will beat Bournemouth to nil at Anfield on Saturday evening.

“Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 18 home Premier League games and when they take the field at Anfield on Saturday evening against Bournemouth we will just know the winner of the 2018 Grand National – starts fifteen minute earlier – but more importantly we’ll also who the Reds will meet in the semi-final of the Champions League,” Owen told BetVictor.

“The Cherries have only won at Stamford Bridge against the ‘Big Six’ sides on the road in the history of the Premier League and I cannot see past another home win for Jurgen Klopp’s side.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season in Klopp’s first full season in charge at the Anfield outfit.

The Reds signed Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk in the January transfer window after reaching a club record £75m agreement with Southampton.

Liverpool FC could face Bayern Munich, AS Roma or Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.
