The England international was entrusted with a place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line up ahead of Georginio Wijnaldum for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash.
Oxlade-Chamberlain doubled the home side’s lead with a powerful finish from outside the area in the 20th minute to help Liverpool FC secure a commanding lead ahead of next week’s return leg.
The 24-year-old has now scored five times and has also made five assists in his first season at Liverpool FC following his £35m move from Arsenal on transfer deadline day last summer.
Mignolet was sat on the bench for the Champions League quarter-final after losing his starting spot to German goalkeeper Loris Karius.
However, the Belgian star still sent a tweet to Oxlade-Chamberlain to rave about his incredible goal during the Champions League clash.

Liverpool FC have beaten Manchester City twice at Anfield this season following a 4-3 win in the Premier League back in January.
However, the Citizens were 5-0 winners against 10-man Liverpool FC at the Etihad Stadium back in September.
