The Reds signed the England international in a £35m deal from Arsenal in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Oxlade-Chamberlain opted to move to Liverpool FC instead of signing a contract extension with the Gunners.
The 24-year-old had to be patient in the opening months of his Anfield career as Jurgen Klopp used the summer signing sparingly.
However, Oxlade-Chamberlain has flourished in recent months to become a key member of the Liverpool FC team.
Indeed, the England star scored in Liverpool FC’s 4-3 win against Manchester City at Anfield to end the champions’ unbeaten start.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was on the score sheet again in Liverpool FC’s 3-0 victory over Pep Guardiola’s side to reach the Champions League last four.
Former Manchester City defender Pearce isn’t surprised to see Oxlade-Chamberlain thrive at Liverpool FC this term.
“Oxlade-Chamberlain was always going to be a great signing for Liverpool,” Pearce told Sky Sports.
“He has high energy. He is a typical Liverpool player. He is starting to flourish.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored three goals and has made six assists in 31 appearances in the Premier League in the current campaign.
The Liverpool FC star has scored one goal and has made one assist in six games in the Champions League this season.
