Jurgen Klopp is a better manager than Jose Mourinho, according to Steve Nicol.

The Reds are in third place in the Premier League table and two points behind Manchester United.

Liverpool FC are looking to finish in the Premier League’s top four for the second successive season.

The Merseyside outfit are hoping to secure their place in the Champions League semi-finals.

However, the Reds will need to get past Premier League leaders Manchester City in the last-eight stage.

Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League after a 2-1 loss to La Liga giants Sevilla in the last 16.

The Red Devils can still finish the season with some silverware if Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur.

If the 20-time English champions win the FA Cup, it will be Mourinho’s third trophy in two seasons.

Former Liverpool FC star Nicol believes Klopp is a superior manager to Mourinho.

“The brand of football that Klopp wants to play is a better brand and more entertaining than Mourinho,” Nicol told ESPN.

Liverpool FC were 2-1 winners against Crystal Palace on Saturday to temporarily hoist themselves above the Red Devils.

However, Mourinho’s men reclaimed second spot following a 2-0 victory over Swansea City at Old Trafford.

Manchester United will have to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the FA CUp semi-final at Wembley next month.
