Former Liverpool FC striker Owen spoke in glowing terms about Salah ahead of the Reds’s home clash against Stoke City in the Premier League at Anfield in Saturday’s early kick-off.
“I am beginning to run out of superlatives for Mo Salah – all I will say is that the new King of the Kop needs just one more Premier League goal to become the outright top scorer in the history of the competition since it became a 38-game season – in his first season!” Owen told BetVictor.
Salah can surpass Cristiano Ronaldo, Alan Shearer and Luis Suarez with his 32nd goal of the Premier League season if the Egypt international finds the net against the Potters at Anfield on Saturday.
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
