The Reds were 2-1 winners against Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash at The Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night.
Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino both got on the score sheet to cancel out Gabriel Jesus’ opener in the second minute of the last-eight tie on Eastlands.
Firmino and Salah scored in the opening leg with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s wonder goal helping the Reds to secure a commanding 3-0 lead at Anfield.
The Merseyside outfit have been rewarded for their exploits with a Champions League semi-final meeting with Serie A giants AS Roma.
Firmino, Salah and Sadio Mane have scored 52 of Liverpool FC’s 75 goals in the Premier League this term, while the trio have netted 25 of their 39 goals in the Champions League so far.
Former Liverpool FC star Ince claimed that the Liverpool FC trio are the most potentent attack in European competitions ahead of their Champions League semi-final against the Italian side.
“I know how people will react when I say this – but I think, of the teams left in the competition, Liverpool have by far the best attacking players,” Ince told Paddy Power.
“Madrid have Ronaldo, yes. But I’m talking about the combination. Not just Lewandowski or Ribery, and not just by names, but by who is in form and is playing at the top of their game now.
“You’d have to take Salah, Firmino and Mane. They must be the top three in the competition.
“That’s why I believe they will go on to win it. If they play how they did against City over two legs, no one can beat them.”
Liverpool FC signed former Chelsea FC winger Salah in a £39m deal from AS Roma last summer.
The African forward has scored an incredible 39 times in all competitions this season.
