Jurgen Klopp is adamant that Liverpool FC star Roberto Firmino is in the best form of his Reds career.

The Brazil international has been in incredible form in the 2017-18 season in his third campaign at the Anfield outfit.

Firmino has scored 14 times and has made seven assists in 32 appearances in the Premier League this season.

The South American has netted seven goals in nine Champions League games to help Liverpool FC reach the quarter-finals.

Firmino has netted 23 times in 43 games in all competitions to allow Jurgen Klopp’s side to make good progress in the current campaign.

The 26-year-old moved to Liverpool FC in a £29m deal from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim in the 2015 summer transfer window under Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers.

However, the Brazilian forward has found his best form under the former Borussia Dortmund manager.

Asked at his pre-match media conference ahead of their return trip to Manchester City if Firmino was in the best form of his career, Klopp simply said: “Yes”.

Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table but four points behind Manchester United in the race to finish as runners up behind Manchester City.

The Reds signed Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk from Southampton in the January transfer window.
