Liverpool FC are interested in a potential deal to sign Gent winger Moses Simon, according to a report in England.

Belgian outfit Het Laatste Nieuws, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Liverpool FC are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in Simon.

The same article states that the Reds have been impressed with the 22-year-old’s performances in the Belgian top flight in the current campaign.

According to the same story, Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United are also interested in a deal to sign the Nigerian star.

Gent are thought to value the African forward at around £13m ahead of the 2018 summer transfer window.

Liverpool FC already have three African players in their ranks: Cameroon centre-half Joel Matip, Senegal winger Sadio Mane and Egypt international Mohamed Salah.

The Reds are set to sign Guinea international Naby Keita in a £48m deal from Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig at the end of the season.

The Merseyside outfit are in third place in the Premier League table and two points adrift of Manchester United in the race to finish as runners-up behind Manchester City.

Liverpool FC signed Netherlands defender Virgil van Dijk in a club record £75m deal from Southampton in the January transfer window.
