Liverpool FC are not keen to sign Marouane Fellaini from Manchester United this summer contrary to recent claims, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Liverpool FC will not pursue a move for the 30-year-old Belgian midfielder despite reports that they could be interested in his signature.

Fellaini’s future has been a source of uncertainty all season as he approaches the end of his contract at Old Trafford.

It now looks likely that the midfielder will leave Manchester United on a free transfer at the end of the season, but it is not yet clear which club he will join.

According to the same story, Paris Saint-Germain retain an interest in signing Fellaini, but Premier League rivals Liverpool FC are not looking to land the former Everton man.

The same article credits Roma, Monaco, Galatasaray and Besiktas with an interest in Fellaini as the clock ticks down on his contract at Old Trafford.

According to the same story, Liverpool FC currently have other midfield targets as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host Bournemouth at Anfield.
