Martin Keown believes that Jurgen Klopp has not got enough credit for the job he has done at Liverpool FC since taking over at Anfield.

The Reds have been earning plenty of praise for their strong performances this season in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

Liverpool FC booked their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League last week with a brilliant 5-1 aggregate victory over Manchester City in the last eight.

The Reds are also in third place in the Premier League table as they bid to try and finish in the top four for the second season running under their German manager.

Despite all of the praise that has headed Liverpool FC’s way in recent weeks, the Reds are yet to lift their first trophy under Klopp since his appointment back in October 2015.

However, former Arsenal star Keown feels that Klopp does not get enough credit for the way he has been managing his team this season.

Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Keown said: “Jurgen Klopp has found the right balance.

“He was called Crazy Klopp when he arrived. He’s such a big personality on the touchline, in the press conference, in front of the cameras, that a lot of the subtler elements of his management go under the radar.”

Liverpool FC are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they look to try and secure a top-four finish this season.

The Reds will take on Bournemouth in their next top-flight game in front of their home fans at Anfield on Saturday night.
