The 25-year-old Egypt international has been one of European football’s most impressive players this season following his move to Merseyside from AS Roma in the summer transfer window last year.
Salah has scored an astounding 39 goals in all competitions for the Reds since his transfer last summer and he played a key role in helping Liverpool FC to reach the Champions League semi-finals.
The attacker netted Liverpool FC’s crucial first away goal as they sealed a 5-1 aggregate win over Manchester City in the Champions League last week.
Salah picked up the Premier League player of the month award for March as he became the first player to claim the prize three times in a single season.
And Klopp had nothing but more praise for the attacker ahead of Liverpool FC’s home clash with Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference at Melwood on Friday, Klopp said: “It’s deserved, it’s not that you think: ‘Wow, how did that happen?’.
“He is an outstanding player and we played a really good season but he is in all the decisions – in decisive moments, he is involved.
“Either he makes a cross or he scores the goal or whatever, he is really very often involved. He gives us all a good feeling, so everybody is really happy for him.
“I don’t think that he has always over-performed but when he is on the pitch he is always a goal threat, and that helps us a lot for sure.”
Liverpool FC have been drawn against Salah’s former club AS Roma in the semi-finals of the Champions League as they look to reach the showpiece against either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
