Liverpool FC have a “great chance” of winning the Champions League this season, according to Lee Dixon.

The Reds were in fantastic form in the quarter-finals as they sealed a 5-1 win over Manchester City to book their place in the last four.

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino at The Etihad on Tuesday night notched up an impressive 2-1 win over the Citizens to secure their place in the semi-finals.

Liverpool FC are now waiting to discover who their opponents in the semi-finals will be after Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and AS Roma all progressed to the last four.

And former Arsenal star Dixon reckons that Liverpool FC’s attacking prowess means that they have a very real chance of reaching and winning the final this season.

Speaking to ITV Sport on Wednesday night, Dixon said: “Liverpool have got a great chance with those three up front.

“Even if they get drawn against Real Madrid with their two full-backs and how they don’t defend – I think Liverpool can beat anybody.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool FC will now turn their attentions back to Premier League affairs and their home clash against Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday night.

The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they chase a top-four finish for the second season running under Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool FC will learn their Champions League semi-final opponents when the draw is made on Friday.
