Mohamed Salah had a special message for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the Liverpool FC star's injury setback

Mohamed Salah has taken to social media to wish Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a speedy recovery after the Liverpool FC midfielder’s injury setback.

The England international picked up a knee ligament injury during Liverpool FC’s 5-2 Champions League win over AS Roma on Tuesday night.

A scan revealed knee ligament damage and he will miss the rest of the season and this summer’s World Cup.

The news comes as a devastating blow to the 24-year-old, who had been in fine form for the Reds after having signed from Arsenal in the summer transfer window last year.

Salah scored twice to help fire Liverpool FC to victory over AS Roma and help them take a big step towards the Champions League final.

And the Egypt international was quick to pay tribute to his team-mate after his disappointing setback.

Salah shared the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “I wish you all the best and I’m confident you’ll be back even stronger than before.”

Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against Stoke City, before turning their attentions back towards Champions League affairs and their trip to AS Roma for the return leg of their semi-final showdown.

Liverpool FC are aiming to set up a final clash against either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.
