The 19-year-old full-back has been earning plenty of praise for his performances in recent weeks and he was once again in fine form as he helped Liverpool FC to claim three points against Eddie Howe’s men on Saturday.
Goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino wrapped up the three points for Jurgen Klopp’s men to help them stay in third place in the Premier League table.
Former Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves was on commentary duty for BT Sport during Saturday’s game and he picked Alexander-Arnold as his man of the match.
And Hargreaves was particularly impressed by Alexander-Arnold’s involvement in Salah’s goal at Anfield on Saturday, as his brilliant home was turned home by the prolific Egyptian.
Speaking during BT Sport‘s coverage of the game, Hargreaves said: “Wow. What a header from Mo Salah.
“You have to say, all game Trent Alexander-Arnold was in position to play a positive forward pass.
“It was brilliant recognition from Salah to know where he is and that pass from Alexander-Arnold was outrageous. The cushioned header is unbelievable.”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Saturday when they take on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
Klopp is aiming to steer the Reds into the Champions League qualification spots for the second season running after they ended up in third place last term under the German manager.
