Ray Parlour believes that Roberto Firmino has been Liverpool FC’s unsung hero this season.

The Brazil international has been a regular fixture in the first team at Anfield this term and has been earning plenty of praise for his strong displays.

Mohamed Salah, however, has been getting most of the attention following his incredible form since his move to Anfield from AS Roma last summer.

Firmino has scored 26 goals in all competitions for the Reds this term and has been earning plenty of praise for his top performances.

However, former Arsenal midfielder Parlour feels that the Brazilian has not been getting the credit he deserves following his fine form for the Reds this term.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Parlour said: “Firmino has been excellent.

“He is the unsung hero for them. The way they [Liverpool FC’s front three] link up together. Coutinho, an unbelievable player, hasn’t even been mentioned.”

Firmino will be expecting to feature for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Champions League action on Wednesday night with their crunch return leg clash against AS Roma in Italy.

The Reds have the advantage heading into the return leg after having claimed a 5-2 win in the first leg at Anfield last week.
