Mo Salah has a clear Liverpool FC warning for Man United
Mohamed Salah is hoping that Liverpool FC will be able to catch Man United in the race for second place
Mohamed Salah has warned Manchester United that Liverpool FC are doing everything they can to try and beat them to second place in the Premier League this season.
Salah has been in sensational form for Liverpool FC to help the Reds up into third place in the top flight and challenge for Champions League qualification.
The Egypt international has hit 40 goals in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s men and has earned huge amounts of praise for his fine form since his transfer from AS Roma last summer.
Liverpool FC are currently four points behind the Red Devils in the race for second place in the table, with just four games left to play this season.
And Salah seems to be convinced that Liverpool FC have what it takes to pip Manchester United to second place before the season is out.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Salah said: “I have to carry on, [there are] still some games to go and we have to finish second, we keep fighting for that and I hope we reach [it].
“For me, it’s better to finish second. I know the first four places play Champions League next year but it’s always better to finish second than third or fourth.
“If you look back on the history, you have to finish first, you have to win the Premier League.
“But it’s always better to be [in a higher position] – first, second, third. If you didn’t win it, second is [best].”
Salah will be expecting to line up for Liverpool FC when the Reds take on West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds will then switch their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their crunch clash against AS Roma in the Champions League semi-finals next week.
