The Reds have been earning plenty of praise for their strong performances under Jurgen Klopp this season and they were once again in fine form on Tuesday night as they secured their progress through to the Champions League semi-finals at the expense of Manchester City.
Liverpool FC came from a goal down to claim a 2-1 win over Pep Guardiola’s men at The Etihad on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in the second half.
Firmino’s goal came after the Reds put pressure on the Citizens’ defence and forced them to concede possession.
And Liverpool FC legend Gerrard feels that the way Jurgen Klopp has set his team up has made them one of the best at exploiting mistakes in opponents’ defences.
Speaking to BT Sport, Gerrard said: “Liverpool are waiting for people to take risks and make mistakes. They are the best team about at punishing mistakes.”
Liverpool FC are now eagerly awaiting the Champions League semi-final draw, which takes place on Friday afternoon.
The Reds could be pitted against AS Roma, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the last four as they look to go all the way in Europe’s elite club competition.
