The Reds have been in decent form in the Premier League this season and look set to secure a top-four finish for the second season running under Jurgen Klopp this term.
Liverpool FC came from a goal down to claim a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Saturday thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
The Merseyside outfit will now have their sights firmly fixed on their crunch Champions League clash against Manchester City in the quarter-finals at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Liverpool FC are set to sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig at the end of the season to bolster their midfield options, but former Reds star Souness still feels that Klopp’s side are in need with a player with a creative spark.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Saturday, former Liverpool FC man Souness said: “I think they need someone in midfield who sees a different picture.
“The three that they have got in there today (Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum) – and I include Emre Can in that – are all very good players, all very workmanlike and do a great job for the cause.
“But none of them have got that real magic and maybe he (Keita) will give them that.
“And a goalkeeper and a Kevin De Bruyne and a David Silva.”
Liverpool FC are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as the summer transfer window gives Klopp the chance to bolster his squad at Anfield.
