AS Roma chief James Pallotta says that the Italian club have no interest in selling Alisson this summer despite the reports linking him with a move to Liverpool FC.

Liverpool FC have been credited with an interest in signing the 25-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his options between the posts ahead of next season.

There had been uncertainty about both Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet at Anfield this season, although the former has been impressing with his recent performances for the Merseyside outfit.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool FC are going to line up a bid to try and sign Alisson this summer, but AS Roma president Pallotta says that he has no intention of cashing-in on the shot-stopper this summer.

Pallotta is quoted as saying by the Daily Express: “I don’t understand why people keep asking me if Alisson will be our goalkeeper next season.

“We have no intention of selling him. No chance.

“We thought he was a great goalkeeper when we signed him and there is no way we are selling.”

Karius kept another clean sheet for Liverpool FC on Saturday as he helped the Reds to claim a 3-0 win over Bournemouth at Anfield.

The Reds will take on West Brom in the Premier League this weekend before they turn their attentions towards their crunch Champions League semi-final clash against AS Roma at Anfield next week.

The Merseyside outfit are currently in third place in the Premier League table.
