The Reds have been heavily linked with a move to sign Alisson in recent months as Jurgen Klopp looks to tackle a problem position in the Liverpool FC team.
German goalkeeper Loris Karius has made improvements to his game since Klopp placed his faith in the 24-year-old ahead of his rival Simon Mignolet earlier this season.
However, the former Manchester City shot stopper is still prone to the odd mistake as highlighted by his error in Liverpool FC’s 2-1 win at Crystal Palace last weekend.
Alisson has been attracting interest from La Liga giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid over the past few months following his outstanding performances in Serie A.
However, FC Barcelona manager Valverde ruled out the Catalan side signing Alisson to clear Liverpool FC’s path.
“Allison seems like a great goalkeeper,” Valverde told his pre-match media conference ahead of FC Barcelona’s home clash against AS Roma.
“I do not know at what level [he is at], if he’s better than one or the other [Barca goalkeepers].
“We are very happy with what we have here.”
Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table and two points adrift of Manchester United.
The Reds signed the Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk in a club record £75m deal from Southampton in the January transfer window.
The Merseyside outfit are looking to secure a top-four finish in successive seasons.
