AS Roma president James Pallotta has once again insisted that the Italian club have no intention of selling Alisson this summer despite the speculation linking the goalkeeper with a move to Real Madrid or Liverpool FC.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool FC and Real Madrid have both been linked with a move to sign the 25-year-old Brazilian as they look to bolster their squads this summer.

Alisson is widely regarded as one of European football’s top shot-stoppers and Liverpool FC are thought to be in the market to sign a new goalkeeper this summer, with Simon Mignolet’s future at the club seemingly in doubt.

However, the Serie A side’s president Pallotta has insisted that AS Roma have no intention of cashing in on Alisson this summer.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Pallotta said: “We have no intention of selling him.

“I mean zero at all. I’m sure some people will probably come in with some bids, but I don’t have any interest in selling him, he’s a great goalkeeper.

“When we got him, I thought the same thing and as far as I’m concerned, I mean no.”

Liverpool FC, meanwhile, are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against West Bromwich Albion this weekend.

The Reds will then turn their attentions back towards Champions League affairs and their crunch clash against AS Roma in the first leg of their semi-final tie at Anfield next week.

The Merseyside outfit earned plenty of praise as they sealed a dramatic win over two legs against Manchester City in the quarter-finals.
