Ian Wright believes Liverpool FC need to add another defender, midfielder and striker to his Reds squad.

The Reds are in third place in the Premier League table but have made significant improvement in the current campaign.

Liverpool FC were the first team to beat champions Manchester City this term following a 4-3 win at Anfield back in February.

The Merseyside outfit eased to a 5-1 aggregate win against the Premier League title holders in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The 18-time English champions will take on Serie A giants AS Roma for a place in the Champions League showpiece.

Liverpool FC signed Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk in a £75m deal from Southampton in the January transfer window.

Former Arsenal striker Wright believes Liverpool FC need to sign at least three players in the summer transfer window.

“Keita is coming in next season. We will see how he hits the ground running,” Wright told Sky Sports.

“They need another defender, midfielder and a striker to add to their squad. They are going to be amongst it.”

The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table to secure a return to the Champions League after a two-season absence.

Liverpool FC finished in second place in the Premier League table in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
