Liverpool FC are set to end their interest in Thomas Lemar after Jurgen Klopp had a change of mind about the AS Monaco star, according to a report in England.

The Liverpool Echo, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Liverpool FC have cooled their interest in the promising France international over the past few months.

The same article states that Lemar is no longer a priority for Liverpool FC despite being linked with a potential move to sign the French attacker.

According to the same story, Klopp doesn’t believe Lemar is the right player to bolster the Reds’ attack ahead of the 2018-19 Premier League season.

Liverpool FC’s decision to end their interest could open the door for Arsenal to sign the highly-rated France international in the 2018 summer transfer window.

The Reds were 3-0 winners against Bournemouth at Anfield in the Premier League last weekend thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Liverpool FC booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals following a thrilling 5-1 win against Manchester City in the last eight.

The Reds will take on AS Roma in the Champions League last four later this month.

Liverpool FC signed Virgil van Dijk in a £75m deal in the January transfer window.
