Trent Alexander-Arnold makes honest admission about Mo Salah at Liverpool FC
Trent Alexander-Arnold opens up about coming up against Mohamed Salah in Liverpool FC training
Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted that he hates coming up against Mohamed Salah in Liverpool FC training.
The Egypt international has been one of European football’s top performing players this season following his move to Anfield from AS Roma last summer.
Salah has scored a remarkable 43 goals in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s men this season to help the Reds up into third place in the Premier League and into the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The 25-year-old has been voted as the PFA player of the year following his sparkling debut campaign at Anfield.
Salah scored two and set up two for Liverpool FC as they claimed a 5-2 win over AS Roma at Anfield in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final clash on Tuesday night.
And Alexander-Arnold, who himself has been earning plenty of praise for his displays this term, has admitted that he does not like coming up against Salah at all.
Alexander-Arnold is quoted as saying by Metro: “During the week it’s a nightmare because you’re up against him.
“During the week, there’s sometimes I don’t really like him because he does that stuff to me.
“That’s what he does day in, day out. It’s just become second nature to him now and it’s a credit to him. ‘We’re really happy to be playing with him rather than against him.”
Both Liverpool FC stars will be hoping to feature when the Reds return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with a home clash against Stoke City.
The Reds will then turn their attentions back towards Champions League affairs and the return leg of their clash against AS Roma on Wednesday night.
