Liverpool FC are pondering a move to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak this summer, say reports
Liverpool FC are considering making a move to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper AS, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Reds are keen on signing the shot-stopper this summer as they look to bolster their options between the posts.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC could face competition from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Juventus for the 25-year-old’s signature this summer.
Liverpool FC have been linked with a move to sign a new goalkeeper after the stuttering form of both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius this season.
That being said, the German shot-stopper has been holding down the number one spot at Anfield in recent weeks with a series of solid displays for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Nevertheless, that is unlikely to prevent Liverpool FC from being linked with a move to sign a new goalkeeper this summer.
Klopp will be looking to add to his squad this summer as he bids to build a team capable of challenging for the Premier League title next term.
The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they bid to secure their spot in the Champions League group stage for next season.
