Luis Garcia believes Liverpool FC will beat AS Roma to reach the Champions League final.

The Reds will host the Serie A giants in the first leg of their last semi-final clash at Anfield on Tuesday night as Jurgen Klopp’s men look to take a big step towards their first Champions League final since 2007.

Liverpool FC were 5-1 winners against Premier League leaders Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final.

The Merseyside outfit were 3-0 winners in the first leg at Anfield courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool FC secured a 2-1 win in the second leg after Salah cancelled out Gabriel Jesus’ opener before Firmino completed the comeback.

The Reds haven’t won the Champions League since 2005 when Liverpool FC came from 3-0 down to rescue a 3-3 draw in normal time before a dramatic penalty shootout victory over AC Milan.

Garcia, who was part of the Liverpool FC team that won the Champions League in 2005, is confident the Reds will progress past AS Roma in the Champions League.

“I think Liverpool will go through to the final, winning over the two legs,” Garcia told BetStars.

“There is no perfect draw in the semi-finals of the Champions League but when you look at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich on the other side of the draw, Liverpool must be happy.”

Liverpool FC will take on an AS Roma side that came from 4-1 down to beat FC Barcelona 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico to secure their progress on away goals.
