Manchester United aren’t a top team, Craig Bellamy has claimed.

The Red Devils are on course to finish in second place in the Premier League table following their 2-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday night.

Manchester United lost 1-0 to the Premier League’s basement club West Bromwich Albion last weekend less than a week after their impressive 3-2 comeback win against Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho’s men handed their derby rivals the title following their shock loss to West Brom to compound what has been a disappointing season for the Red Devils.

Manchester United responded with three points at Bournemouth courtesy of goals from Chris Smalling and Romelu Lukaku on the south coast.

The Red Devils are four points ahead of Liverpool FC with four games to go in the race to finish as runners up behind Premier League champions Manchester City.

Former Liverpool FC striker Bellamy doesn’t believe the Red Devils are a top team under Mourinho.

“I don’t believe they’re a top team,” Bellamy told Sky Sports.

“They’re in second place by a long, long distance.”

Manchester United lost 2-1 to La Liga outfit Sevilla in the Champions League round of 16.

The Red Devils will take on fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester United signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January.
