Jose Mourinho told Man United ‘better team’ with Marcus Rashford

Steve McMahon believes Man United are better team with Marcus Rashford

Manchester United are a better team with Marcus Rashford in their starting XI, according to Steve McMahon.

The England international has endured a frustrating 2017-18 season so far after falling down the pecking order at Manchester United.

The Red Devils signed Chile international Alexis Sanchez in a swap deal from Arsenal in the Janaury transfer window.

Sanchez’s arrival has further congested Rashford’s path to the first-team despite the 20-year-old’s impressive performances.

Rashford has scored six goals and has made five assists in 15 starts and 16 substitute appearances in the Premier League this term.

The England striker has been linked with a potential exit at the end of the campaign following a frustrating season.

Jose Mourinho handed Rashford a rare start in Manchester United’s 2-0 win against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday night.

Former Liverpool FC star McMahon believes Rashford deserves to start in the Manchester United team.

“Rashford should be in. He looks a different class,” McMahon told Sky Sports.

“I am baffled that he isn’t playing on a regular basis. Manchester United are a better team with him in the side.”

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League last season but won the Europa League and the League Cup.

The Red Devils lost 2-1 to La Liga giants Sevilla in the Champions League round of 16.
