Robbie Savage believes Manchester United star Paul Pogba still has the potential to be one of world’s best players.

The France international moved to the Red Devils in an £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window.

The Red Devils star won the Europa League and the League Cup in his first season back at Old Trafford.

However, Pogba still hasn’t reached the same heights that he managed to get to at the Italian champions.

The 25-year-old made a promising start to the season following two goals and two assists in four games in the Premier League.

However, Pogba suffered a hamstring problem to spend two months on the sidelines until his return in November.

The France star has been out of sorts and Jose Mourinho has even dropped the Manchester United record signing.

Pogba scored twice in a 3-2 comeback win over Manchester City in the derby at The Etihad on Saturday.

Former Manchester United star Savage talked up Pogba’s potential following his impressive display at the leaders.

“Pogba has the potential to be one of the best midfielders in the world, like he was at Juve,” Savage told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“Although he had a very poor first half, he played brilliant in the second half. The header for the second goal was brilliant.”
