Manchester United will have to see off competition from the likes of Chelsea FC if they want to sign Richarlison from Watford this summer, according to reports.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Manchester United are keen on signing the 20-year-old Brazilian as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
According to the same story, the Red Devils are the “favourites” to secure the signature of the £40m-rated attacker, who has impressed during his first season at Watford.
Richarlison has scored five goals and made four assists in 34 Premier League games for Watford so far this season and has shown plenty of promise since his move to England last year.
The same report says that Manchester United are likely to face competition from Tottenham, Chelsea FC, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus for Richarlison’s signature this summer.
Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as Mourinho looks to assemble a team capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Red Devils are currently on course to finish as runners-up to Manchester City, with Manchester United not having won the title since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
