Fabinho is keen to force through a transfer to Manchester United from Monaco this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Brazilian midfielder wants to leave the Ligue 1 club and sign for the Red Devils in the summer transfer window.

Brazilian midfielder Fabinho has long been linked with a possible move to Manchester United and he was heavily touted as a target for the Red Devils in the summer window last year, but a transfer failed to materialise.

Now though, the 24-year-old is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho looks to try and build a squad capable of challenging for the title next season.

According to the same story, Manchester United have already expressed an interest in signing Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri, but the £55m-rated Fabinho is reportedly another option for the Red Devils.

Fabinho has been in decent form for Monaco so far this season, scoring six goals and making three assists in 28 Ligue 1 games.

Manchester United are bound to be on the lookout for a host of new players this summer as Mourinho looks to build a team who can challenge Manchester City next term.

The Red Devils travel to The Etihad to take on Manchester City on Saturday night.
