Kieran Tierney has played down the speculation linking him with a transfer to Manchester United this summer by insisting that he is happy at Celtic.

The young full-back has been touted as a possible target for Jose Mourinho side as the Red Devils look to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United will be looking to assemble a team capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season, and the 20-year-old Scotland star has been touted as a target for the Red Devils.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will make a formal bid to try and sign the full-back this summer, but the player himself has insisted that he is simply focused on finishing the season strongly with Celtic.

Tierney is quoted as saying by Metro: “I’m not thinking about anyone other than Celtic just now.

“I’m enjoying my career here – I’ve just signed a six-year deal, so if that doesn’t say long-term, I don’t know what does.”

Tierney has been in fine form this season and has scored three goals in 28 SPL games for the Scottish side.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their FA Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils are currently in second place in the Premier League table as they look to at least finish as runners-up to Manchester City.
