Romelu Lukaku and Sanchez both struck in the first half to claim all three points for the Red Devils and keep them in second place in the Premier League table.
Manchester United are aiming to delay Manchester City’s Premier League title party when they travel to The Etihad next Saturday for their crunch top flight clash.
Sanchez has come in for some criticism for some quiet performances for Manchester United since his transfer to Old Trafford from Arsenal back in January.
However, Red Devils defender Lindelof was delighted to see Sanchez get back amongst the goals with a strong performance for Jose Mourinho’s men at the weekend.
Speaking to MUTV after Saturday’s win, Lindelof said: “I think Alexis also had a very good game and he showed his movement and quality with the ball is great so I am very happy for him.”
He added: “The front players had great movement and had a great buzz between them. They had a lot of freedom and I think they showed it out there – they had a lot of fun.”
Next up for Manchester United is their Premier League trip to Manchester City on Saturday evening.
Jose Mourinho is aiming to steer the Red Devils to a second-placed finish in the top flight and also the FA Cup title in his second season in charge at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils will take on Tottenham Hotspur for a place in the FA Cup final at Wembley later this month.
