Scott McTominay has thanked Jose Mourinho for showing faith in him this season at Manchester United.

The young midfielder has been given his chance in the Manchester United first team by the Red Devils boss this term following Ander Herrera’s injury earlier in the campaign.

The 21-year-old has made five starts in the Premier League for Mourinho’s men this season and has made a further five appearances in the top flight from the substitutes’ bench.

He has also featured four times in the Champions League for the Red Devils this term as Mourinho placed his faith in the youngster to perform in the first team at Old Trafford.

McTominay has shown plenty of promise with a string of impressive performances, and the Englishman has thanked Mourinho for showing faith in him this season.

Speaking to Manchester United’s website, McTominay said: “Jose Mourinho has been absolutely incredible to me this year.

“He’s helped me so much in terms of what I can do, from being more humble, to being better on the training pitch and just being a better person in general.”

Manchester United are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils are looking to finish as runners-up to Manchester City in the table this season and also beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final to end the campaign with a trophy.

Manchester United have not won the Premier League title since 2013.
