Gareth Bale’s agent has poured cold water on talk of Manchester United signing the Real Madrid forward.

The Wales international is facing an uncertain future at The Bernabeu after falling down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane.

The Real Madrid manager left Bale on the bench for Real Madrid’s 3-0 win at Serie A giants Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash last week.

The 28-year-old has fallen behind Isco, Marcos Asensio and Luis Vaquez in the pecking oder at los Blancos to cast doubt on his prospects at the Spanish giants.

Manchester United have been regularly linked with a move to sign the Welsh forward over the past two or three seasons but a deal has failed to materialise.

Bale has also been listed as a potential target for Chelsea FC, who are reportedly hoping to sign the former Spurs man in a swap deal that would see Eden Hazard move to Real Madrid.

The player’s agent Jonathan Barnett has rubbished talk of Bale moving back to the Premier League at the end of the 2017-18 season.

“Gareth is a Real Madrid player and loves Real Madrid and Real Madrid love Gareth,” Barnett told ESPN.

“All this talk about leaving is written by reporters who have no idea what is going on and who need to write something and don’t care if it is true or not.”

Bale has won three Champions League titles, the La Liga crown and the Copa del Rey crown during his Real Madrid career so far.
