Graham Hunter believes there is a 60:40 chance that Manchester United target Gareth Bale will remain at Real Madrid beyond the 2018 summer transfer window.

The Wales international has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United at the end of 2017-18 season following a frustrating campaign at Old Trafford.

Bale has struggled injuries over the past two seasons to fuel speculation surrounding his future at the Champions League holders.

The 28-year-old has netted 11 goals in 21 games in La Liga this season as the Welshman continues to compete with Marco Asensio and Isco for a starting spot.

Manchester United need to make up a 13-point gap on Premier League leaders Manchester City ahead of the 2018-19 season following a one-sided title race this term.

Bale has won three Champions League titles, La Liga and Copa del Rey during his four and a half season spell in the Spanish capital.

La Liga expert hunter doesn’t expect Bale to leave Real Madrid this summer despite Manchester United’s interest.

“His integration into the squad is not at all good. There is passing strangers between him and some of the squad,” Hunter told Irish radio station Newstalk.

“There is next to know feeling between him and Ronaldo. The point that must be made. Bale is still in the driving seat because of his cost, his wages, his contract and his agent. He will choose what happens next. He refused to be pushed out last summer.

“If he is happy with his lifestyle and he wins the Champions League again, I think there is a 60:40 chance, he will opt to stay.”

Manchester United could win the FA Cup this season but the Red Devils will have to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-finals.

The 20-time English champions signed Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window.
