The Spain international’s future at Real Madrid has been cast into doubt over the past week following his comments while on international duty.
Isco scored an impressive hat-trick in Spain’s 6-1 win over Argentina in an international friendly in Madrid last week.
The 25-year-old was critical of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane in the aftermath of their landslide win to raise questions about his future.
Reports in the British media have linked Manchester City and Manchester United with the Real Madrid star, as well as Premier League holders Chelsea.
Isco has started 18 games and has made a further seven appearances from the bench this term, contributing five goals and five assists in La Liga.
However, The Guardian’s European football correspondent Bassell doesn’t believe Real Madrid will contemplate the sale of Isco.
“Real Madrid won’t want to sell Isco,” Bassell told BBC Radio 5 Live. “It is the front three. Bale is more likely to move.
“Time is ticking for him and Benzema. Isco is someone they would ideally they would like to keep.”
Isco has scored 39 times in 231 appearances in all competitions over the past five seasons at Real Madrid following a move from Malaga in 2013.
He has won one La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns during his career at Real Madrid so far.
