Craig Burley doesn’t believe Luke Shaw has a future at Manchester United.

The Red Devils signed the England international in a £27m deal from Premier League rivals Southampton in the 2014 summer transfer window.

Shaw struggled during his first season at Manchester United before he made an impressive start to the 2015-16 Premier League campaign.

The England international suffered a double fracture of his leg in a 2-1 loss to PSG Eindhoven in the Champions League in September 2015.

Shaw returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines following Jose Mourinho’s appointment as Louis van Gaal’s successor in May 2016.

However, the former Southampton defender struggled to hold down a regular spot in the Manchester United team.

Mourinho has regularly criticised the Manchester United full-back following his substitution in a 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in FA Cup.

The Portuguese coach was unhappy with Shaw’s performance and hit out at the 22-year-old in his post-match media confefence.

Former Chelsea FC Nicol defender Shaw doesn’t have a future at Manchester United.

“He came back from his broken leg,” Nicol told ESPN FC. “I have always been a fan of the player.

“I think he has a big future. I just don’t think it is at Manchester United.”

The Red Devils have been linked with a potential move to Celtic defender Kieran Tierney ahead of the summer transfer window.

Juventus full-back Alex Sandro has been touted as another potential target for the Red Devils.
