Marcus Rashford is growing increasingly unhappy at Manchester United due to a lack of first-team opportunities, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the England international is becoming disillusioned with life at Old Trafford following Alexis Sanchez’s January move.

The same article states that Rashford was disappointed not to secure a place in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI for the Manchester derby at The Etihad last weekend.

According to the same story, the Manchester United manager is reluctant to give Rashford a regular run of games in the Red Devils team despite his undoubted potential.

While Rashford has resisted the temptation to make his discontent public knowledge, the Manchester United striker is reported to be privately disappointed and frustrated.

The England international could miss out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia this summer.

Rashford has scored 14 goals and has made two assists in 43 appearances in all competitions in the 2017-18 season so far.

Manchester United can finish the season with some silverware but the Red Devils need to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley.

The Red Devils won the Europa League and the League Cup under Mourinho last term.
