Samuel Umtiti appeared to indicate his commitment to FC Barcelona by pointing to the club’s crest during their Champions League win over AS Roma on Wednesday night.

The Spanish side took a big step towards reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League by claiming a 4-1 victory over the Italian side in the first leg of the quarter-final clash on Wednesday night.

Umtiti looked to have scored FC Barcelona’s second goal of the night in the 55th minute but replays showed that it was actually a Kostas Manolas own goal.

However, that did not prevent the 24-year-old defender from celebrating as he pointed to the FC Barcelona badge on his chest, seemingly affirming his commitment to the club.

Umtiti has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent days amid reports that Jose Mourinho is keen to land the defender to bolster his rearguard options this summer.

But it seems as if the France international would be happy to stay at FC Barcelona and extend his current deal.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will return to Premier League action on Saturday night when they travel to Manchester City in the top flight.

The Red Devils know that a win for Pep Guardiola’s men would clinch the title for the Citizens.
