Robbie Savage believes Liverpool FC deserve credit for their unbelievable performances this season.

The Reds have made significant progress under Jurgen Klopp in the German head coach’s second full campaign at the Anfield outfit.

Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table and on course to finish in the top four in successive seasons.

The Merseyside outfit booked their place in the Champions League last four following a 5-1 aggregate win against Manchester City.

The 18-time English champions surged into a 5-0 lead in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Late goals from Edin Dzeko and Diego Perotti provided AS Roma with a lifeline ahead of the return leg in the Italian capital next month.

Former Leicester star Savage believes the Reds deserve credit for a brilliant campaign under Klopp.

“You have to give Liverpool FC credit. The way they’ve played,” Savage told BBC Sport.

“The entertainment factor at Anfield has been unbelievable.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to secure a return to the Champions league after a two-season absence.

Mohamed Salah was named the PFA player of the year following a staggering return of 31 goals in 33 games in the Premier League.
